Leadership Spencer County

A Tradition of Growing Leaders

Leadership Spencer County is an independent, not-for-profit organization whose mission is to promote a progressive, unified Spencer County by identifying and developing leaders to serve our community.

Leadership Spencer County was established in 1997 by a group of citizens concerned about the future of Spencer County, Indiana. Spencer County is in the heart of Abraham Lincoln’s childhood home and has a tradition of growing leaders. Now, more than ever, we must rely on this tradition to create community leaders who are prepared to meet the challenges of the 21st century: adapting to change, building unity amidst diversity, and recognizing and encouraging the creative use of our local talents.
